What happens when a task fails
Submit failure, provider failure and a server-settled timeout all use the same idempotent refund path, so the generation charge is returned at most once. A successful inference that misses the creative target is still a completed provider run and is not refunded.

Model charges are anchored to approximately one cent of hosted provider inference cost per credit. Pack and subscription prices also cover payment, storage, support, abuse prevention and operating margin.
Do failed generations return credits?
Provider submit failures, provider processing failures and server-settled timeouts use the automatic one-time refund path. A completed output that you simply dislike is not treated as a failure.
Do starter credits cover Seedance 2.0?
No. The 25-credit starter balance can cover one 18-credit Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast draft, but Seedance 2.0 Fast requires 122 credits.
