A shot plan is not a shot list template

Most free shot list tools give you a grid to fill in: scene, shot size, angle, movement. That grid assumes a camera crew will read it. This planner assumes a model will read it, so it asks for the things a video model actually acts on — what is in frame, what changes during the shot, how the camera moves, when each beat lands, and what must not appear. Everything stays on your device until you choose to hand it to a generator.

The seven fields, and why each one is there

Subject & setting

Who or what, and where. Models drift when the subject is abstract, so this is the one field worth over-specifying.

Action & visible end state

The shot has to change between the first and last frame. Naming the end state is what separates a video prompt from an image prompt.

Camera

One dominant move per five-second draft. Two moves in one short shot is the most common reason a take looks unusable.

Timing & beats

What happens when. Without it the model spreads one idea evenly across the clip instead of landing a beat.

Light

Direction, quality and mood — cheap to specify, expensive to fix later.

Sound & dialogue

Quote exact lines and name the speaker. Tiers that generate audio use this; tiers that do not will ignore it.

Constraints

What must NOT appear. Negative direction is usually shorter and more reliable than more positive description.

Plan first, then spend the draft

Planning here costs nothing — no account, no credits, no generation. When the plan is ready the planner hands it to the cheapest tier in this catalog, Seedance 1.0 Pro Fast at 18 credits for a five-second 720p draft, with the prompt already composed. New accounts get 25 starter credits, so a signed-in first-time user has exactly one draft to spend. The old Lite endpoint was deprecated by the provider on August 19, 2026; the catalog now calls the supported replacement directly instead of relabeling a redirect as Lite. That is the whole reason this tool exists before the generator: with one shot available, the thinking should happen before the spend, not after.

What this planner does not do

• No call sheets, crew, locations or shooting schedule — if you need production management, a dedicated shot list app is the better tool.
• No downloadable Excel or PDF template. Plans are saved in your browser and reloaded from the Saved plans list on this page.
• No image-to-video planning yet. The draft tier this hands off to is text-to-video only, and the planner refuses to send a plan a tier cannot run rather than silently switching you to a pricier one.
